Job Title: Electrical & Instrumentation Technician
Location: Savannah, GA
Hours/Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Type: Contract

Overview
This role provides advanced electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support for a manufacturing facility. The technician is responsible for ensuring reliable operation of process instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment while maintaining safety and compliance standards. On-call availability is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and SOP requirements, including lockout/tagout and arc flash procedures
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions using gauges, diagnostic tools, and testing instruments
  • Repair, reassemble, calibrate, and maintain process instrumentation and electrical components
  • Maintain accurate calibration records and update the CMMS database
  • Calibrate and maintain process instrumentation, VFDs, motor controls, and electrical systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance and investigate equipment failures to identify root causes
  • Assist with planning and execution of equipment shutdowns
  • Troubleshoot and support MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, and related control systems
  • Install and maintain instruments, control panels, and electrical hardware
  • Support HMI systems and industrial Ethernet networks
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support facility operations

Qualifications
Required
  • Associate’s degree or technical certification in electronics or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electromechanical, instrumentation, and electrical roles
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Strong technical aptitude with industrial equipment and components
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics
Preferred
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs
  • Familiarity with Wonderware software
  • Experience troubleshooting and calibrating control valves
  • Knowledge of VFD structure and operation
