We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Electrical Foreman for our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be in charge of overseeing all electrical installations in residential construction projects. This role is integral to ensuring the safety, timeliness, and quality of our construction projects. If you have a keen eye for detail, outstanding leadership skills, and a passion for electrical work, we would like to meet you.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of electricians and apprentices, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
2. Plan, schedule, and coordinate electrical project work, including determining material or equipment needs.
3. Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications, and compliance with operational, safety, or environmental standards.
4. Conduct regular tool box talks, safety meetings, and inspections.
5. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
6. Perform installation and repair work on electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
7. Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment while ensuring compliance with building and safety codes.
8. Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
9. Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs.
10. Collaborate with construction project managers to plan and develop project schedules and budgets.
Qualifications:
1. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Foreman in residential construction.
2. Proven experience in planning and coordinating projects, overseeing work progress, and managing a team of electricians.
3. Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and all necessary equipment.
4. Familiarity with electrical codes and safety regulations.
5. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
6. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
7. Must have a valid electrician's license.
8. Ability to work under pressure and solve complex problems.
9. Strong attention to detail with a dedication to quality.
10. High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in electrical engineering or related fields is a plus.
11. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
12. Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects and equipment, and to work in various weather conditions.
