Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will manage projects that can involve the installation of electrical systems on Construction Projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project management best practices and will be able to manage multiple projects at once while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail. This role involves a thorough understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and project management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for applying electrical engineering knowledge in the planning and execution of projects.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine the scope of electrical work.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and plans using industry-standard software.
• Identify, develop, and gather resources to complete projects - This can include preparing engineering designs and work specifications, developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts, estimates and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of Electrical and Instrumentation & Control (I&C) project proposals and estimates.
• Ensure technical drawings and specifications comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with various disciplines to ensure electrical and special systems are fully integrated into project designs.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all estimates, proposals, and project documentation.
• Foster strong relationships with coworkers, clients, and vendors.
• Address client inquiries and provide clarifications on project estimates and scope.
• Set priorities, allocate tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones.
• Participate in project pre-bidding activities and coordinate client site visits.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations throughout all project phases.
• Research and evaluate new electrical technologies and techniques to improve project efficiency and innovation.
• Any other duties may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum two (2) years of work experience in construction projects related to civil construction, electrical and instrumentation.
• Construction industry knowledge.
• Experience in Desing Engineering is a plus.
• Understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and project management.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Organizational capacity, strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects at once while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team, but also independently.

This position requires travel. Availability to work Monday to Friday, and work non-regular hours, such as weekends and holidays, if necessary.
