We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support and enhance electrical systems across industrial manufacturing operations. This role focuses on PLC-controlled equipment, electrical standards development, and cross-functional support for maintenance, operations, and engineering teams. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting capability, hands-on plant experience, and a structured approach to documentation and compliance.

*Japanese language proficiency is required

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain electrical standards across facilities
  • Communicate electrical standards to contractors and internal teams supporting installations and repairs
  • Review and approve electrical drawings for new equipment and facility upgrades
  • Maintain and update documentation including electrical prints, PLC programs, and HMI/operator interface systems
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance (PPM), inspections, testing, and commissioning of plant equipment
  • Modify and optimize control systems to improve process reliability, safety, and OSHA compliance
  • Support maintenance and operations teams in troubleshooting electrical issues and improving system performance
  • Assist in designing and implementing electrical preventive maintenance programs
  • Contribute to nondestructive testing processes and maintenance procedures
  • Provide secondary support for mechanical and hydraulic systems as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in an Electrical Engineering or industrial automation role
  • Hands-on experience with PLC systems (programming, troubleshooting, maintenance)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in an industrial environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, steel, or heavy industrial environments
  • Familiarity with electrical compliance standards (e.g., OSHA)
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA systems
  • Ability to support cross-disciplinary systems (mechanical, hydraulic)
