Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
· Strong experience with power distribution systems
· Experience with PLC, SCADA, and HMI system design
· Familiarity with fiber optic communication systems
· Proficiency in AutoCAD electrical design
· Experience with VFD systems, motors, and industrial automation
· Knowledge of NEC requirements for power distribution
· Experience with tunneling, mining, water, wastewater, or heavy industrial environments is preferred
Responsibilities
· Design electrical power and control systems supporting tunnel operations
· Develop substations and medium voltage distribution (13.2kV)
· Design power distribution systems down to 480V, 208/120V, and 120VAC
· Design low voltage DC control systems
· Produce AutoCAD electrical drawings and single line diagrams
· Specify VFD systems, motor starters, and protection systems
· Design motors, pumps, ventilation fans, and lighting systems
· Design tunnel and site lighting systems compliant with OSHA illumination requirements
· Develop PLC based control systems
· Design HMI and SCADA architectures
· Design fiber optic communications networks
· Perform load calculations and electrical system studies
· Ensure designs comply with NEC and applicable electrical standards
· Support field troubleshooting, commissioning, and system integration

This is an opportunity to work on a technically challenging heavy infrastructure project involving medium voltage distribution, industrial controls, and integrated SCADA systems.
A major underground tunneling project in Baltimore, MD is seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to support the design, installation, and commissioning of complex electrical systems supporting tunnel excavation and underground infrastructure operations.
These positions will play a key role in the development and execution of power distribution, controls, and communications systems required to operate large scale tunneling equipment and support facilities.
