Our client, an industrial building fabricator, is seeking an Electrical Design Specialist to join their team. As an Electrical Design specialist, you will be part of the Design Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in supporting the design process from kickoff through production to delivering the electrical drawing sets and electrical bills of materials (EBOMs). This requires strong understanding of NEC codes and electrical systems as they relate to industrial support buildings. This position has a contract status to start with eventual conversion to direct hire status as the intent. The role will not consider candidates with visa requirements and relocation to the Madison, WI area job location will be on your own. Strong background with facilities engineering electrical systems will be a significant advantage.

Pay: $40-$45/hr. plus OT, benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design process from kickoff through production to deliver the electrical drawing set and electrical bills of materials (EBOMs).
  • Address issues identified during initial design reviews and ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve design issues, clarify scope, and ensure project alignment.
  • Provide clarity and direction to support Production during the build and test processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience preferred.
  • Experience in electrical design, project engineering, or manufacturing support roles.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and power system design principles.
  • Knowledge of bill of materials (BOM) creation and management.
  • ERP system knowledge preferred.
