VENTEON and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring an ELECTRICAL CONTROLS ENGINEER to support a plant in Greenville, South Carolina. You will be updating PLC Programing, troubleshooting issues, and working on continuous improvement projects.

 

POSITION TYPE: Full time. In plant daily.  PAY: $42.00 - $48.00 per hour based on education level and years of relevant experience.

 

Requirements of the Manufacturing  Electrical Controls Engineer:

  • B.S. Engineering (or equivalent experience working in engineering role for 5+ years).

  • Siemens PLC programming experience.

  • Experience with programming / setup of camera systems (Keyence, Cognex, etc.).

  • Strong critical thinking skills.

  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and how they function. 

  • Knowledge of MES systems/layer and how they function.

  • Ability to read electrical drawings.

  • SQL Server Management Studio querying.

  • Fast learner, able to learn new proprietary Controls standard.

  • Siemens TIA Portal experience (mostly troubleshooting, ground up programming not required).

  • Vision system experience.

 

Duties of the Manufacturing  Electrical Controls Engineer:

  • Responsible for the design, development, programming, and ongoing support of electrical control systems.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, IT, Maintenance, and Automation teams.

  • Modify and optimize existing equipment to meet changing production requirements.

  • Improving / continuous improvement projects working hand-in-hand with MFE personnel. Example projects: camera integrations, poke-yoke / sensor installations, updating PLC programming, etc.

  • Troubleshooting machine downtime / PLC issues with IT and Maintenance Controls teams.

  • Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations personnel.

  • Maintain documentation, backups, and version control for control systems.
