Job Title: EIC Technician
Location: Morrisville, North Carolina

Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 6 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday
Responsibilities
- Maintain all electrically controlled devices on the plant floor, including troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring proper hardware and software configurations.
- Support production equipment and flow, prioritizing work orders while collaborating across departments to optimize plant operations.
- Ensure electrical equipment operates safely and in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate control systems, relays, sensors, fuses, breakers, and network connections, including system documentation and backups.
- Troubleshoot control systems such as PLCs and HMIs, supporting system performance and resolving connectivity issues.
- Assist with developing training documentation and participate in training new maintenance team members.
- Support project work from concept to completion in coordination with Controls Engineers, including installing new equipment and emergency repairs.
- Conduct system and device diagnostics, ensuring data integrity and proper interface with manufacturing systems such as MES and SAP.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to assist with system installation and troubleshooting.
- Support and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and other PLC systems, including communication protocols such as Profibus, ControlNet, and Ethernet.
- Review electrical engineering plans for compliance and accuracy, and assemble/test circuitry according to technical specifications.
- Utilize diagnostic tools, power and hand tools, and maintain system logs to document work and support continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, College Diploma, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in production/operational work, with 1 year in batch, continuous, or discrete manufacturing, preferably in packaging lines
- Strong knowledge of control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation
- Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and network communication protocols such as Profibus, ControlNet, and Ethernet
- Capable of operating hand and power tools, troubleshooting electronic and electrical systems
- Excellent problem-solving, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Basic mechanical knowledge; SAP PM experience preferred
- Willingness to maintain continuous learning through training, workshops, and industry reading
