We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EHS Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent position in the Manufacturing industry, where you will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining our environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards. The right candidate will have a strong background in cGMPs, SOPs, JSAs, OSHA, FDA regulations. You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
As an EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for:
1. Developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs in line with local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and other relevant standards.
3. Developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
4. Providing training and education to employees on EHS regulations and practices.
5. Managing and maintaining records of hazardous materials and waste, ensuring proper disposal in accordance with regulations.
6. Investigating accidents, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
7. Collaborating with various departments to create a culture of safety and compliance throughout the organization.
8. Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in EHS standards and regulations.
9. Leading continuous improvement initiatives in the area of EHS.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an EHS Specialist or in a similar role in the Manufacturing/Pharmaceutical industry.
2. Extensive knowledge of cGMP, SOP, JSA, OSHA, Hazardous, EHS, and FDA regulations.
3. Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS programs.
4. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and educate employees on EHS practices.
6. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
7. A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
8. Professional certification in EHS or related field would be an added advantage.
