Salary Range: $78,000 - $123,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across East Lansing seeking EHS Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and company policies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs and procedures.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate hazards.
• Lead and manage EHS incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees.
• Perform EHS audits and inspections to identify non-compliance and areas for improvement.
• Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, trends, and objectives.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in EHS management within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent.
• Demonstrated expertise in OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs, policies, and training initiatives.
• Experience with EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and continuous improvement methodologies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience implementing or managing EHS Management Information Systems (EMIS).
• Demonstrated experience with sustainability initiatives or ESG reporting.
• Multi-site or international EHS management experience.
