Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver safety policies, procedures, and training programs for plant personnel.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Manage lockout/tagout procedures, incident investigations, and near-miss reporting.
- Analyze workplace injury trends and collaborate with leadership to implement preventive measures.
- Serve as the primary liaison for Workers’ Compensation, partnering with carriers and managing claims efficiently.
- Support return-to-work programs and light-duty accommodations in collaboration with HR and site leadership.
- Oversee third-party safety vendors, audits, and specialized safety services, including contract management.
- Champion a culture of safety by integrating initiatives into daily operations and promoting employee engagement.
- Travel to other sites (~30%)
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering or related field
