Join our team as an experienced professional overseeing environmental, health, and safety standards at a network of North American manufacturing facilities. This senior role involves leading environmental permitting efforts, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing safety protocols, and conducting thorough incident investigations. In collaboration with plant leaders, you will drive the implementation of safe operational practices across various sites.
The position offers flexibility to be based in:
- Long Valley, NJ
- Waterloo, NY
- Lamar, SC
- Dyersburg, TN
- Idaho Falls, ID
- Trenton, Ontario, Canada
You'll be traveling approximately 30% of the time, visiting other facilities in the U.S. with occasional trips to Canada.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the management of Title V air permits, ensuring hazardous waste handling aligns with all levels of government regulations, and preparing TRI and Tier II environmental reports. You'll also lead SPCC programs, manage stormwater compliance, and conduct detailed accident investigations to implement preventive measures. Developing and driving facility safety initiatives and providing OSHA and EPA training will be crucial parts of your role.
Ideal candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a similar field, with 3-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with Title V permits and environmental reporting, along with a solid understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations, is essential. Your successful incident analysis and problem-solving skills, combined with effective communication, will support your management of compliance tasks independently. A willingness to travel up to 10%, including to Canada, is required.
