A nationally respected law firm is seeking a Patent Agent or Technical Specialist to join its Intellectual Property group in Los Angeles. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated technologies across electrical engineering and software-driven innovation.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience and a technical background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, physics, or a closely related discipline.

Preferred technical exposure includes:

  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

  • 5G and telecommunications

  • Robotics

  • Semiconductor manufacturing and packaging

Requirements


  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field

  • 3+ years of experience drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications in electrical and software technologies

  • USPTO eligibility (registered or qualified to sit)

  • Strong academic background with clear, precise writing ability

  • Professional communication skills and client-facing capability
