Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor Wire and Sinker EDM machines according to job specifications.
• Load and execute CNC programs, making minor adjustments to optimize cutting parameters.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of EDM equipment.
• Prepare and secure workpieces, electrodes, and fixtures for EDM processes.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to maintain optimal production quality and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production records, quality control logs, and material usage documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, depth gauges) for quality inspection.
• Basic understanding of machine maintenance, tooling, and troubleshooting common operational issues.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and quality control standards in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Esprit) for program modification or generation.
• Experience operating or programming CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines) for advanced inspection.
• Background in tool and die making or mold making.
• Ability to interpret and perform basic edits on CAD models (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor).
• Experience with multi-axis or micro-EDM applications.
