Job Position: Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

Location: Onamia, MN

Position: Full time for the 2025/26 School Year

Compensation: Starting at $50/hour

Position Overview:
Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 20252026 school year. This position will work with children ages 3 to 5 who have a range of developmental and learning needs near Onamia Minnesota. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages every child to grow and thrive.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, individualized instruction for preschool-aged children with special needs

  • Develop and carry out Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams

  • Use a variety of instructional strategies and techniques to support learning and development

  • Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

  • Provide support and resources to families to promote continued development at home

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and other support staff

  • Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations

Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Professional Educator License

  • Proper endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) required

  • Experience working with preschool-aged children with special needs preferred

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

  • Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment
