Description: We’re hiring Early Childhood Special Education Teachers (Float) to support inclusive classrooms, deliver high‑impact instruction, and help young learners thrive across multiple early childhood environments.
As a Float ECSE Teacher, you’ll provide specialized instruction for children with diverse needs while ensuring services meet all federal, state, and local requirements. You’ll lead the development and management of IEPs, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and help maintain consistent, high‑quality practices across sites.
Depending on district needs, this position may also function as a Process Coordinator, Academic Evaluator, Case Manager, or Teacher of Record. Work location (in‑person, hybrid, or virtual) is determined by district and company requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to ensure compliance with Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) requirements.
- Prepare and maintain all required documentation, including progress reports, IEPs, meeting notices, and prior written notices.
- Facilitate and schedule IEP meetings, ensuring clear communication with families and team members.
- Provide specialized instruction using evidence‑based practices and individualized teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver timely, high‑quality services.
- Supervise, coach, and schedule paraeducators and support staff in alignment with district and company guidelines.
- Apply current research and best practices to inform instructional decisions and classroom support.
- Complete all required district documentation and billing accurately and on time.
- Participate in problem‑solving teams and develop behavior intervention plans as needed.
- May provide guidance and supervision to paraeducators, new teachers, or other assigned staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Valid teaching license or eligibility for licensure with appropriate endorsement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood special education content, specialized curriculum, and individualized instructional methods.
- Proficiency with multimedia tools and assistive technology to support diverse learners.
- Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and effective interpersonal abilities.
