We are a growing hospitality management company operating premium, branded select-service and extended stay hotels. Our portfolio is expanding, including an upcoming Marriott-branded hotel opening, creating strong potential for career growth and new-opening experience for the right sales leader.
Position Summary
The Director of Sales is responsible for developing and executing sales strategy to drive occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR performance. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role focused on account generation, relationship management, market penetration, and performance execution.
This position also offers the opportunity to contribute to pre-opening commercial strategy and potential future leadership involvement such as multi-property sales support, and/or future branded hotel openings.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Build and execute a proactive sales plan to grow revenue across market segments (corporate, negotiated, group, extended stay, and local accounts as applicable).
- Establish weekly/monthly production goals and activity targets; track results and adjust strategy quickly.
- Identify market opportunities through competitive intelligence, demand segmentation, and local business development.
Business Development & Account Management
- Prospect, source, and close new accounts; negotiate and manage rate agreements and key account production.
- Maintain strong relationships with local businesses, travel partners, and community stakeholders.
- Drive repeat business through structured account management and performance reviews.
Forecasting, Reporting & Collaboration
- Monitor sales performance metrics; deliver clear reporting and actionable insights to leadership.
- Partner closely with property leadership and operations teams to align commercial strategy with service delivery and guest experience.
- Support revenue-focused initiatives tied to demand periods, pacing, and local market drivers.
Pre-Opening / Growth Opportunity
- Participate in commercial planning tied to a future Marriott-branded opening, which may include early account acquisition, local partnership development, and market positioning support.
Qualifications
Required
- Prior hotel sales leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to build business and deliver measurable results
- Strong sales discipline: prospecting, account management, contract negotiation, and KPI execution
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through
- Strong working knowledge of hotel sales fundamentals (segments, production, pacing, account performance)
Preferred
- Prior experience with premium select-service or extended stay hotel brands such as Marriott and/or Hilton
- Experience supporting new hotel openings (or strong interest in gaining new-opening experience)
- Comfort working cross-functionally with operations to execute service delivery and service recovery expectations
