Driver Training Instructor

TPG is seeking motivated, dependable and safe Driver Training Instructor to support a multinational automotive manufacturer in Wittmann, AZ. Successful candidates will support performance driving, trailer towing and off-road driving and teach students how to safely operate test vehicles on public roads and on proving ground test tracks.

Driver Training Instructors Essential Job Duties

• Safely operate test vehicles in a wide range of testing conditions.
• Conduct training to include vehicle preparation, safety checking, safe driving practices, and classroom training of advanced driving techniques.
• Assist in Driver Training & Rental Client Support including driving, basic technician support; inspections, alignments, tire/wheel installation, balance and data collection.
• Assist Driver training in orientation, training and safety coordination
• Assist in Driver Training including scheduling, invoicing, record-keeping and reporting
• Support in all aspects of Environmental, Health and Safety
• Other duties as requested

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Mechanical abilities to include tire changes and basic maintenance
• Able to enter information into a database related to driver training and rental client support
• Strong interest in automobiles and performance driving
• Able to work cooperatively in a diverse and challenging environment
• Performance Driving Experience (Plus)
• Passion for the automotive industry and the niche auto proving ground testing business who would enjoy working alongside the largest automotive companies in the world

Education & Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Must have an excellent driving record

Important Considerations

• Safety Sensitive position requiring all persons assigned to activity be drug-free and successfully pass drug screening prior to employment.
• Prolonged routine sitting for 2 or more hours with the requirement to lift at least 25 lbs or higher.
