Job Summary

Fairweather is recruiting for a 12-month contract Drillsite Production Operations Technician at the Alpine field on the Western North Slope. The position will primarily operate drill sites and various associated processing equipment including; production and injection wells, separation vessels, metering equipment, pumps and pipeline facilities. The position requires becoming competent in operating all the Western North Slope drillsites. In addition, this position will assist the Operations Team with day-to-day drillsite maintenance functions and tasks.


The position will be remotely based working a 14 day on/14 day off rotation and is covered by a DOT drug-testing program.


Job Description

 

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Operating the Western North Slope drillsites in a safe, economic and environmentally sound manner
  • Achieving and maintaining competency qualifications to operate all Western North Slope Drillsites
  • Understanding and applying safety and environmental standards and actively insuring compliance
  • Participation in all field safety processes to achieve a zero-incident operating culture
    Preparing and safe out of equipment for maintenance operations
  • Troubleshooting technical process problems and safety issues to ensure safe and optimized production
  • Participating in injection well service changes (WAGs), drill site modifications and special projects
  • Perform function tests, preventative and corrective maintenance on well safety systems and other drill site equipment.
  • Day-to-day drillsite maintenance functions and tasks including, pigging operations, flange management, ordering chemicals, fluid/process sampling, managing operations stock and tooling inventory.

 

Qualifications


Basic/Required:

  • Current/valid driver’s license
  • 2+ years direct oilfield/petro-chemical operations experience


Preferred:

  • Experience operating the Western North Slope drillsites
  • Associate degree or higher in process technology or other relevant technical discipline or foreign equivalent
  • Knowledge of oil and gas processes and safety procedures and practices is essential as well as an awareness of environmental considerations
  • Experience working in an arctic environment
  • Experience and trained in Flange Management
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with reading and comprehending P&IDs and Isometric Drawings
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a wide range of personnel, from various companies and backgrounds
