An advanced aerospace program is expanding its embedded software team to support safety-critical development, integration and certification milestones. This role operates within a DO-178 environment and requires hands-on contribution across the embedded software lifecycle.
This is a 12-month contract to hire position based onsite in Vermont or North Carolina.
Responsibilities
• Develop embedded C/C++ software for aerospace systems
• Work within an RTOS environment (VxWorks, Integrity or similar)
• Support requirements-based development and testing
• Contribute to verification and validation activities
• Participate in system integration with hardware and lab environments
• Support multicore processor implementation and optimization
• Produce documentation aligned to DO-178 processes
Required Experience
• Strong embedded C/C++ development background
• RTOS experience
• Safety-critical or mission-critical systems experience
• Working knowledge of DO-178 (B or C)
• 4+ years embedded systems experience
• Low-level hardware interaction and debugging capability
