As a dishwasher/porter you will be tasked with replenishing items, helping to unload supplies from deliveries and preparing cooking sites. An important function in this role is ensuring a kitchen’s compliance with all food procedures and safety regulations. Success in this position will be exhibited by prioritizing tasks that significantly impact customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities: Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans and place in proper storage area
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks
Clean garbage cans with water and bleach
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
Supports other staff members when needed
Stows away and polishes dishes, cutlery and cookware
Maintains chemical levels and temperatures to comply with safety measures
Transfers equipment and supplies from storage to work area
Ability to execute assigned tasks with precision and speed
Effective communication skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
Prior work experience in kitchen or cleaning roles
Excellent time management skills
Able to stand and move for long periods
