Job Description:
About the Role:
We are seeking a Director, Packaging Procurement to join our Supply Chain organization, based out of our Oak Brook, Illinois office. This role is responsible for leading the strategy, sourcing, and supplier management of packaging categories across TreeHouse Foods.

In this role, you will drive cost savings initiatives, enhance supplier performance, and partner cross-functionally to support innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence. You will play a key role in shaping procurement strategy while ensuring strong supplier relationships and consistent service levels across the business.

You will add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
  • Leading strategic sourcing initiatives across packaging categories to drive cost savings and operational efficiencies
  • Developing and executing category strategies aligned to enterprise supply chain and business objectives
  • Managing supplier relationships and leading negotiations to establish long-term partnerships
  • Monitoring packaging spend, market trends, and pricing dynamics to inform business decisions
  • Developing and implementing supplier performance metrics and scorecards
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams, including Packaging Engineering, Finance, and Operations, to support innovation and sustainability initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate policies and contract standards
  • Overseeing supplier claims and dispute resolution processes
  • Driving continuous improvement across procurement processes, supplier performance, and cost structure
Important Details:
  • The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $154,700.00 - $232,100.00 USD annually. Individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation opportunities may be available for candidates with specialized skills or extensive experience.
  • This is a hybrid role based out of our Oak Brook, Illinois office
  • Travel may be required based on business and supplier needs
You'll fit right in if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field required
  • Ten (10) or more years of procurement experience, including packaging categories within CPG or food manufacturing
  • Strong strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation experience
  • Experience analyzing financial data, contracts, and total cost of ownership models
  • Ability to lead complex projects and influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems; SAP experience preferred
  • Experience developing supplier performance metrics and driving continuous improvement
  • Ability to operate as a strategic partner across functions to deliver business results
