Salary Range:
- Minimum: $129,000
- Mid: $168,000
- Maximum: $175,000 (based on experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking a senior-level Director of Strategic Marketing to lead the development and execution of B2B marketing strategies within the healthcare sector, with a focus on non-acute care segments (e.g., ambulatory surgery centers, dermatology, physician offices, long-term care).
This is a high-impact, visible role requiring a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate will build marketing initiatives from the ground up while delivering measurable business outcomes and engaging with executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and go-to-market plans for targeted healthcare segments
- Create compelling marketing campaigns, collateral, and promotions for both prospective and existing clients
- Conduct market research, segmentation analysis, and competitive assessments to identify growth opportunities
- Drive membership growth through lead generation, cross-selling, and nurturing strategies
- Evaluate and support trade shows and events as part of the overall marketing strategy
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to inform decision-making
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels and initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and stakeholders
- Mentor and guide junior marketing team members (if applicable)
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, or related field
- Master’s degree preferred
Experience:
- 8–10+ years of B2B marketing experience within healthcare sectors such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or long-term care
- Proven experience marketing to ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), LTACs, physician offices, or similar segments
- Background in healthcare supply chain, group purchasing organizations (GPO), or related industries
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent writing, copywriting, and presentation skills (including PowerPoint-based strategic materials)
- Experience building marketing personas, campaigns, and annual plans from scratch
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel); familiarity with tools like HubSpot and Canva is a plus
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication and executive-level presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with healthcare supply chain operations and GPO environments
- Experience executing omni-channel marketing campaigns
- Strong market segmentation and growth strategy experience
Additional Details
- Work Environment: 100% onsite in Nashville, TN
- Travel: Approximately 4–5 times per year
- Reporting: Direct interaction and presentations to C-level executives
- Focus: B2B marketing (not direct-to-consumer)
- Team Structure: May include 1 direct report or operate independently
