Our company, a leading player in the Meat Manufacturing Industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales with a Proven track record selling Animal Protein (Beef/Pork/Chicken). The ideal candidate will have experience in Retail and/or Food Service Sales. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales and establishing strategic relationships. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, sales-driven professional who has a deep understanding of retail and/or food service sales and consumer packaged goods (CPG).

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive sales growth and profitability.
2. Identify, approach, and secure new business opportunities with potential clients in the retail sector.
3. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders in the retail industry.
4. Collaborate with internal teams to align on sales strategies and ensure customer satisfaction.
5. Understand market trends, industry challenges, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
6. Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
7. Meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
8. Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to senior management.
9. Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within the retail grocery or CPG industry.
3. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization.
4. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
5. Strong business sense and industry expertise.
6. Excellent negotiation skills and a track record of successfully closing business deals.
7. Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
9. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
10. Willingness to travel as needed.
