Director of Revenue Cycle
Location: Columbus, OH – Fully Onsite
Salary Range: $160,000–$190,000
A multi-site, specialty‑focused healthcare organization in the Columbus, OH area is seeking an experienced Director of Revenue Cycle to lead all revenue cycle functions for a busy, treatment‑based clinical environment. This senior role oversees operational performance, financial integrity, and the strategic direction of the revenue cycle.
The organization is established, privately held, and highly patient‑centric. This position is fully onsite and works closely with senior leadership and clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership for the full revenue cycle, including billing, coding, charge capture, collections, payment posting, and payer relations.
- Oversee workflows related to treatment‑based services and specialty medications.
- Lead initiatives to reduce denials, improve reimbursements, streamline processes, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage and develop revenue cycle staff, including leadership of multiple team leads or managers.
- Collaborate with organizational leadership to align financial performance with clinical and operational objectives.
- Monitor KPIs, identify trends, and implement solutions that support financial health and patient access.
- Guide improvements to systems, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive revenue cycle experience within a healthcare provider setting.
- Background in treatment‑based revenue cycle strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of medical billing, coding, payer rules, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven leadership experience managing mid‑sized or large revenue cycle teams.
