The Director of Project Management (PM) position is an exciting opportunity to join PM Group’s quickly growing Boston area team in Burlington, MA. Together we are sharing knowledge, learning, growing and continuing to be an integral part of supporting PM Group’s ongoing expansion in the US. Our office is executing cutting-edge projects for Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Cell & Gene Therapy facilities – from feasibility through to qualification – for both local and international clients.  With our clients and partners, we will deliver projects that improve the everyday lives of people across the globe.

 

This is a senior level leadership position within PM Group and we are looking for a professional who enjoys client interaction, facilitating business growth and supporting client development. Comprehensive technical knowledge of the entire project delivery life cycle (from first contact through proposal preparation and project execution) and the ability to support business development activities is crucial.  Additionally, as a management position the role requires the ability to inspire confidence in staff while providing mentorship, continued education opportunities, and ensuring project delivery excellence.  The successful individual will have proven experience working on complex capital-intensive projects, leading multi-discipline projects, and AE teams.

:
  • Lead, manage and mentor the Boston area Project Management Team, including Project Engineering and Project Services (to include controls, scheduling and cost) while setting strategic direction aligned with corporate and local office goals
  • Serve as a key member of the local business unit leadership team and represent PM Group with clients
  • Act as an ambassador for the company as you interact with our clients and provide excellent project delivery services
  • Lead, execute and oversee projects directly and through the supervision of other PM team members
  • Focus on building and retaining a key core team through recruitment, training and mentoring
  • Ensure good departmental communications including current office and company information
  • Lead planning and allocation of resources to meet project management requirements at both the office and client sites
  • Develop and maintain client relationships via client outreach, external presentations, participation in technical committees, etc.
  • Generate scopes of work, project proposals, schedules and cost estimates
  • Present to clients, industry leaders, academics and students on relevant topics
  • Lead the project delivery strategy development & delivery through the entire project life cycle
  • Interact with Senior Management in a constructive manner while preserving the scope and resources on projects
  • Maintain and drive quality standards within the discipline
  • Identify and drive needed improvements that support the development of the project delivery Community on PM Group’s internal platforms
  • Special projects as assigned
:
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or an engineering discipline is required; an advanced degree is preferred
  • 15 + Years of experience working within a CGMP regulated environment
  • Proven Previous experience providing project management services to clients 
  • Experience functioning as a Team Leader supporting multiple life science projects
  • Proven understanding of project execution methodologies for CGMP life science facilities
  • Good time management skills
  • Strong work ethic, self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality
  • A forward planner who identifies and resolves project issues
  • Ability to critically assesses own performance and the performance of others
  • Broad experience in interdisciplinary coordination on projects in the life sciences industry
  • Excellent communication, documentation & people skills
  • Good organizational and leadership skills
  • Flexible and willing to travel to meet project and company requirements as needed

Pay Range Disclosure:
The pay range for this position is $200,000 – $250,000 annually. This range represents the base salary that PM Group reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered will depend on factors such as work location, qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.
