Job Summary:
The Director of Operations provides strategic and hands-on leadership to drive operational excellence, financial stability, and scalable growth. This role will lead the transition from full-scale manufacturing to a light assembly model in a regulated medical device environment, overseeing all aspects of operations, managing vendors, optimizing supply chain and manufacturing processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The Director will collaborate cross-functionally and implement process improvements to support both short- and long-term business objectives.

Job Duties:
  • Lead operational strategy and day-to-day execution in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Oversee the 12–18 month transition to a light assembly configuration
  • Manage major transformation and capital projects, ensuring scope, timeline, and budget adherence
  • Optimize supply chain, logistics, and subcontractor/vendor performance
  • Implement and maintain best practices in Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with R&D, Sales, Finance, and other departments to align operational goals
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and measurable performance
  • Monitor KPIs to track operational efficiency, project delivery, cost savings, and quality compliance
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field required
  • 10+ years in operations, engineering, or maintenance leadership roles, ideally in FDA-regulated industries
  • Proven success in project management, operational transformation, and vendor management
  • Strong knowledge of SIOP, inventory control, and supply chain optimization
  • PMP or equivalent certification strongly preferred
