Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee daily operations for multiple manufacturing teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals, quality standards, and delivery commitments.
- Manage a repair-focused operation responsible for restoring complex mechanical components supporting both regulated and commercial customers.
- Provide leadership to machining operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production workflows.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement through open communication and collaborative leadership.
- Plan and optimize the use of labor, equipment, materials, and floor space to maximize efficiency and throughput.
- Analyze production costs, performance metrics, and quality outcomes; implement process improvements to support profitability and operational excellence.
- Review work orders, schedules, capacity constraints, and material availability to maintain smooth production flow.
- Partner with planning and scheduling teams to establish manufacturing priorities and sequencing.
- Evaluate operational reports and address manufacturing, logistics, maintenance, and delivery issues to minimize downtime and delays.
- Establish, refine, and enforce standard operating procedures; observe workflows to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve machinery, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
- Partner with quality teams to address customer issues, nonconformances, and corrective actions; provide coaching and training as needed.
- Serve as a manufacturing representative in continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as required to support business needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Hands-on exposure to CNC machining operations.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing methodologies; Green Belt certification preferred.
- Working knowledge of Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement principles.
- Proficiency with standard business software tools, including Microsoft Office and email platforms.
