What You Will Need:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a healthcare leadership role; additional nursing supervision and management experience in Skilled Nursing and/or Assisted Living is desirable.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, internet and web applications, PowerPoint, Excel, and Vision.
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
  • Expertise in wound care, quality improvement, MDS, Fall Management, Infection Control, and standards of LTC documentation guidelines preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse license for the state in which you operate.
  • CPR/First Aid training preferred.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Coordinate and implement the comprehensive and resident-centered delivery of nursing services to all continuing care residents.
  • Partner with the Administrator to complete monthly budget variance reports and maintain an operating budget for the Department of Nursing.
  • Manage the survey process and all regulatory compliance visits.
  • Monitor staffing, scheduling, and payroll in continuing care.
  • Ensure appropriate staff is provided based on resident acuity and provide recommendations based on identified needs.
  • Partner with clinical leaders to monitor and analyze clinical trends.
  • Develop, implement, and provide in-service and continuing education programs to staff.
  • Collaborate with Home Care and outpatient clinical leaders to follow established standards for resident transition.
  • Meet with the Medical Director and Director of Continuing Care to review quality trends and regulatory compliance.
  • Implement a person-centered approach to care, focusing on the resident’s strengths while providing a sense of comfort, companionship, and belonging.
