A healthcare facility in the Rome, NY area is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee all nursing operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and supervision to the nursing team, ensuring high standards of clinical care and regulatory compliance
Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and best practices
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention of nursing staff
Ensure appropriate staffing levels and promote ongoing clinical competency and professional development
Address performance concerns and uphold standards of professional conduct
Remain informed of facility incidents and ensure proper reporting and follow-up
Assess resident care needs and support care planning to maintain quality outcomes
Qualifications:
Current New York State RN license required
Minimum five years of experience
At least two years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and team-building skills
Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and quality assurance practices
