A full-service Mechanical Contractor self-performing the installation of Plumbing, HVAC, Sheet Metal, Fire Protection/Fire Sprinkler and Temperature Controls/Energy Management systems across the entire spectrum of construction projects. Our Service and Warranty Department is well established and prepared to provide post-construction services. The Special Projects Division handles the most difficult and challenging projects

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Director of IT to join our rapidly growing team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing strategic IT initiatives that align with our business goals. This is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional who is passionate about leveraging technology to drive innovation and efficiency, and who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement IT strategies and systems that align with the company's business objectives.
2. Oversee all technology operations (e.g., network security) and evaluate them according to established goals.
3. Analyze the costs, value, and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions.
4. Lead the IT team in delivering excellent technical support, including system installations, troubleshooting, system updates, and problem solving.
5. Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain a competitive advantage.
6. Implement cybersecurity measures to protect data from cyber threats and maintain data privacy.
7. Manage IT budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
8. Collaborate with other department heads and executives to define and prioritize IT initiatives.
9. Ensure IT systems comply with industry regulations.
10. Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the IT team.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Proven experience as IT director or similar role.
4. Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc.
5. Experience with Microsoft Azure, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
6. Experience in controlling information technology budget.
7. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
8. Strong strategic and business mindset.
9. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
10. Strong problem-solving capabilities.
11. Knowledge of IT governance and operations.
12. Understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations.
13. Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
14. A strong strategic and business mindset.
15. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
16. Outstanding communication abilities.
17. Professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Azure Certified, Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is a plus.
