Job Details
Reporting to the Sr. Director of IT Technology, we’re seeking a Director of IT Architecture to lead enterprise architecture strategy for a growing healthcare organization. This leader will own network, cloud, and systems architecture, managing a high-performing team while aligning technology with business, clinical, and regulatory needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Technology Roadmap
- Define and execute the enterprise IT architecture roadmap aligned with business and clinical goals
- Lead network, cloud, and systems architecture teams; establish governance, standards, and best practices
- Drive secure, scalable infrastructure across on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments (AWS)
- Oversee architecture for core healthcare systems, including EHR/EMR (Epic)
- Partner with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure compliance (HIPAA, HITRUST)
- Evaluate emerging technologies (microservices, AI/ML) and ensure strong ROI on initiatives
- Manage risk, performance, cost optimization, and system scalability
- Demonstrated history of assessing, testing, implementing modern platform visibility solutions (DataDog, Dynatrace, New Relic, Prometheus / Grafana).
Required Background
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years in IT architecture, including 5+ years in a leadership role
Strong experience in:
- Network architecture (SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs, security protocols)
- Cloud architecture (AWS, hybrid solutions, Well-Architected Framework)
- Systems architecture and enterprise platforms (M365, infrastructure, DR)
- Healthcare IT standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM)
- Observability tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, Grafana/Prometheus)
Preferred
- Master’s degree
- Certifications: AWS (Solutions Architect Pro, Security), Azure Architect, CISSP, CCNP, HITRUST, or FinOps
- This is a highly visible, strategic role with direct impact on technology modernization, security, and patient care outcomes.
