Director of Information Technology Full Time

The Director of Information Technology (IT) provides strategic and operational leadership related to the organization's IT security, tools, and environment. The Director collaborates with the Leadership team and a third-party IT provider (as needed) to identify the technological needs of each department and implement efficient solutions in a cost-effective manner. The Director manages, coordinates, and maintains all aspects of the agency's wide area network, information systems, and telecommunication systems. The Director maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity in compliance with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA. Pony Bird is a non-for-profit agency that enriches the lives of individuals with disabilities.  

Salary Range: $74,318.40 to $92,892.80 based on experience and education

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required. Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred. Plus five years of experience in computer technology.

2. Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable to drive agency vehicles

3. Analyze and resolve problems associated with telecommunication system, server hardware, server and desktop operating systems and application software.

4. Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.

5. Must be able to communicate in an effective and clear manner, in both written and oral form

6. Must be able to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical journals and procedures, or governmental regulations.

7. Must be able to respond to common inquiries or complaints as it relates to the information technologies in all departments.

8. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

9. Must be able to apply mathematical concepts to prepare the budget and to establish and review salary ranges.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

1. A flexible work schedule as needed to meet the needs of implementation of information technology for the organization.

2. Work schedule may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
