Overview:

Lead the future of HR technology in hospitality.

At Davidson Hospitality Group, we know great hospitality starts behind the scenes—with the right people, systems, and leadership in place. We’re looking for a Workday Systems Director who’s equal parts strategist, problem-solver, and collaborator to lead and evolve our Workday platform.

In this role, you’ll own the full Workday ecosystem—from optimization and governance to innovation and user experience. You’ll partner closely with teams across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and Operations to ensure Workday is not just running smoothly, but actively driving better business decisions and outcomes.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thinks like a product owner—someone who’s curious, forward-thinking, and passionate about continuously improving how systems support people and performance. You’ll help shape the Workday roadmap, champion best practices, and bring new ideas (including emerging technologies) to the table.

This is an on-site position based in our Dunwoody, GA corporate office.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Serve as the strategic owner of the Workday platform, ensuring it delivers value across Financials, HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Talent, and more
  • Lead ongoing enhancements, system configuration, and semi-annual releases—including testing, validation, and rollout
  • Translate business needs into a clear Workday roadmap, aligning priorities across departments
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders and the Workday Governance Committee to improve processes, reporting, and data integrity
  • Oversee integrations—maintaining current connections and identifying opportunities for new ones
  • Manage relationships with Workday, third-party vendors, and consultants to ensure high-quality delivery and support
  • Build and guide a high-performing technical team, including security, integration, and functional administrators
  • Elevate reporting and analytics by developing dashboards and insights that drive decision-making
  • Ensure a strong user experience through training, support, and continuous improvement of knowledge resources
  • Act as the escalation point for complex system issues and drive solutions

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Deep expertise across Workday modules, including HCM, Payroll, and Financials
  • Strong experience with integrations, security, reporting, and system configuration
  • A solid understanding of ERP systems and how enterprise platforms connect and scale
  • A track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and managing complex projects
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and partner at all levels of the organization
  • Workday certifications (HCM, Payroll, Financials, Reporting, Integrations, etc.) are highly preferred
  • Experience exploring or implementing AI/ML within enterprise platforms is a plus

EXPERIENCE

  • 7+ years working with Workday as an administrator, consultant, or technical lead
  • Experience owning multi-module environments (HCM + Financials required)
  • Background supporting large, multi-entity or multi-location organizations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, HRIS, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Hospitality or service industry experience is a plus—but not required

If you’re someone who enjoys connecting technology to business impact and wants to play a key role in shaping how our teams work and grow, we’d love to connect.
