Position Details

Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Partner with the President & CEO to develop the annual organizational budget, manage cash flow, and provide ongoing fiscal guidance to ensure operational efficiency
- Take a hands-on approach in overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and medical billing
- Monitor short-term and long-term fiscal health, delivering accurate cash-flow forecasting and identifying opportunities to maximize income and financial efficiency
- Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
- Develop, document, and implement financial policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax laws and grant requirements
- Prepare and present timely financial reports to the CEO and Board, offering actionable insights and recommendations
- Manage and support annual audits, ensuring efficient processes and timely resolution of findings
- Negotiate and oversee agency insurance policies, including Liability, Workers’ Compensation, and Property & Casualty coverage
- Partner with the Director of Human Resources to ensure employee benefits plans are competitive and properly funded
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, grant funders, and vendors
- Oversee leases, contracts, and financial commitments to ensure alignment with budgetary and organizational goals
- Stay current on financial trends, laws, and best practices, updating fiscal policies as needed
- Perform additional duties as required to support organizational success
Experience & Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Proven experience in nonprofit or mission-driven financial leadership
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, audits, and compliance
- Hands-on experience with accounting operations, payroll, and cash-flow management
- Ability to present financial data clearly to executive leadership and Boards

- Experience working with grant funding and medical billing
- Background in nonprofit healthcare or social services organizations
