Overview:

We are seeking a Director of Finance to lead all financial operations for a high-performing hotel that consistently exceeds financial expectations. This role offers a unique opportunity for a strong Assistant Director of Finance or Senior Finance Leader ready to step into their first DOF position, with the support of an experienced team and a well-established operational foundation.

 

The Director of Finance will serve as a strategic business partner to hotel leadership, driving profitability, ensuring compliance, and elevating financial performance. This is a highly visible role ideal for someone looking to expand their leadership impact within hospitality finance, hotel accounting, and financial strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of hotel financial operations, including accounting, reporting, and internal controls

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support revenue growth and profitability

  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend actionable improvements

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and hospitality financial standards

  • Partner with the General Manager and leadership team to drive strategic decision-making

  • Manage and mentor a team of 2 in a decentralized accounting environment

  • Strengthen financial processes and reporting accuracy across departments

  • Support audits, capital planning, and long-term financial strategy

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in hotel finance, hospitality accounting, or financial leadership

  • Experience in an Assistant Director of Finance, Controller, or similar role preferred

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting

  • Understanding of hospitality accounting systems and internal controls

  • Ability to translate financial data into clear business insights

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor team members

  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
