Our Service and Warranty Department is well established and prepared to provide post-construction services. The Special Projects Division handles the most difficult and challenging projects

Are you a seasoned professional with a strong background in construction estimating? Do you have a keen eye for detail, a knack for numbers, and an ability to negotiate effectively? We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Director of Estimating to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced, high-growth construction company where you can make a significant impact on our future success.
Responsibilities:
As the Permanent Director of Estimating, your primary responsibility will be to lead our estimating department and oversee all aspects of the estimating process. You will be the driving force behind our strategic planning, cost analysis, and contract negotiation efforts.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Overseeing and coordinating the preparation of all estimates, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
2. Reviewing and finalizing all bid packages to ensure they meet the requirements of the project.
3. Collaborating with project managers and other team members to develop a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
4. Implementing value engineering strategies to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
5. Leading contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors, ensuring the best possible terms for the company.
6. Providing leadership and direction to the estimating team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
7. Keeping abreast of industry trends and developments, and incorporating these insights into our estimating practices.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Director of Estimating position will have a strong background in the construction industry, with a particular emphasis on plumbing and fire protection systems.
The key qualifications for this position include:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a proven track record of success.
2. Expertise in plumbing, fire protection, DB, DA, VE, estimating, value engineering, contract negotiation, and construction management.
3. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
5. Outstanding negotiation skills, with a proven ability to secure favorable terms for the company.
6. Thorough knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
7. Proficiency in using estimating software and other relevant technology.
8. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
