Overview of the Role: An innovative consumer brand is seeking a Director of eCommerce & Creative Strategy to take full ownership of paid media, creative direction, and performance optimization across all digital channels. This individual will architect, launch, analyze, and scale advertising campaigns while driving creative strategy and improving overall eCommerce performance. This is a hands-on role, ideal candidates thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy building from the ground up, and bring a strong blend of media buying, creative production, and funnel optimization experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Director of eCommerce:
- Own and manager PPC strategy across Meta, Google, Tiktok Ads, Amazon Ads, or other platforms.
- Oversee and guide organic social strategy across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and others.
- Plan, launch, test, and scale campaigns.
- Manage and optimize six and seven-figure monthly ad budgets.
- Continuously improve ROAS, CPC, CAC, LTV, and contribution margin.
- Own end-to-end creative strategy for all paid and organic media.
- Direct & produce short form video ads, static & motion graphics, product demos - Working hands-on with videography, lighting, framing, audio, editing, and pacing.
- Build creative testing systems (hooks, angles, formats, CTAs).
- Design, build, or heavily influence high-converting landing pages.
- Collaborate with development and design teams.
- Own full-funnel conversion optimization.
- Own performance tracking and reporting across all platforms - build dashboards & reporting.
Qualifications of the Director of eCommerce:
- 8+ years of hands-on paid media experience (not limited to agency oversight).
- Demonstrated success scaling DTC or performance-driven brands.
- Deep expertise with:
- Meta Ads Manager
- Google Ads
- TikTok Ads
- Shopify or Shopify Plus
- eCommerce analytics tools (GA4, Meta Analytics, etc.)
- Strong understanding of direct-response principles.
- Experience with creative testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of HTML preferred.
- Proven videography and editing experience.
- Strong funnel optimization background.
- Comfortable managing large budgets and making data-driven decisions.
- Highly analytical, self-directed, and accountable.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Experience of the Director of eCommerce:
- Consumer electronics, hardware, or communications products.
- Experience working with founder-led brands.
- UGC creator management.
- CRO tools (e.g., Hyros).
- Experience scaling into retail or omnichannel environments.
- Experience building and/or leading creative teams.
- Proactive, high-initiative, and resourceful.
- Creative and experimental, yet grounded in performance data.
- Able to bring fresh ideas and identify gaps.
