Overview:
A dynamic and growing contract manufacturer in the personal care and beauty industry is seeking an experienced Director of Customer Project Management & Planning to lead two high-impact operational departments across multiple facilities.

This is a mission-critical leadership role, bridging the gap between customer-facing sales operations and internal production, with a focus on driving order execution, project timelines, and cross-functional alignment. You’ll report directly to executive leadership and be a key member of the Plant Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Own the full customer order lifecycle—from receipt through final delivery—with a focus on OTIF (on-time, in-full) performance
  
• 
  Lead and develop the Customer Project Management (CPM) and Planning teams across two NJ-based sites
  
• 
  Partner with Sales, Estimating, Engineering, Procurement, and Production to ensure successful project launches and repeat order execution
  
• 
  Oversee revenue forecasting, project tracking, client communications, and order issue resolution
  
• 
  Develop and implement continuous improvement processes, while managing KPIs and customer satisfaction metrics
  
• 
  Hire, train, and lead a team of 5–10+ professionals; drive performance management and cross-training
  
• 
  Lead escalation response, client updates, and process optimization across departments

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 
  10–15 years of progressive experience in customer care, project management, or planning in a contract manufacturing or CPG environment
  
• 
  3–5 years of experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
  
• 
  Strong ERP/CRM system experience and advanced Excel skills required
  
• 
  Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication capabilities
  
• 
  Bachelor’s degree required; MBA highly preferred
