Job Details

We are seeking an accomplished Director of Construction to spearhead our Pittsburgh, PA operations, overseeing a portfolio of fast-paced commercial projects in dynamic sectors like retail, hospitality, and government. This executive leadership role demands strategic vision and hands-on expertise to direct all construction activities, from project acquisition and preconstruction planning to execution, team management, and client delivery. You'll collaborate with senior leadership to expand our footprint, optimize operations for maximum efficiency and profitability, and uphold our commitment to quality and safety on every job site. Ideal for a seasoned construction leader ready to shape the future of high-volume, fast-track builds in a growth-oriented firm.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct all aspects of commercial construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution across multiple sites
  • Lead and mentor project teams, subcontractors, and internal staff to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with superior quality and safety
  • Develop and implement construction strategies to drive operational efficiency, cost savings, and profitability
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, managing bids, negotiations, and change orders to secure repeat business
  • Oversee risk management, compliance with regulations, and quality control programs across all projects
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on business development, resource allocation, and strategic growth initiatives

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred)
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with proven leadership in commercial general contracting
  • Expertise in fast-track projects within retail, hospitality, franchise, commercial, or government sectors
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, cost control, scheduling software (e.g., Procore, Primavera), and industry regulations
  • Demonstrated success in team leadership, client management, and P&L responsibility
  • Ability to travel as needed for project oversight
