Compensation: $175,000-$190,000 plus 15%-20% bonus

We are seeking an experienced Director of Accounting to lead core accounting operations and partner closely with the Controller in driving a high-performing, scalable, and compliant accounting organization.
The ideal candidate is a strategic yet hands-on leader with deep U.S. GAAP expertise, strong operational acumen, and a proven track record of building and leading teams in complex, fast-paced, or high-growth environments.
- Direct day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and consistent application of U.S. GAAP and maintaining the integrity and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Partner closely with the Controller to strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and process documentation, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
- Lead and develop accounting managers and staff, providing structured coaching, performance management, and succession planning to build a scalable, high-performing team.
- Oversee workload planning, delegation, and disciplined execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Review financial results and key performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and performance improvement opportunities, delivering actionable insights to leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, FP&A, and other stakeholders to provide technical accounting guidance and support informed decision-making.
- Support acquisitions and strategic initiatives, including review of third-party valuations, assessment of accounting implications, and integration considerations.
- Drive process improvements, workflow optimization, and system enhancements to increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and support organizational growth.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes and assist in preparing leadership reporting and executive-level presentations.
Qualifications
- CPA designation required and 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing scope and responsibility, including direct people leadership.
- Background in complex, fast-paced, or high-growth environments; experience in a public company setting or Big 4 accounting firm strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing multiple direct reports within a structured accounting organization.
- Deep knowledge of accounting operations, including close management, balance sheet reconciliations, and internal control frameworks.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to synthesize financial data into clear, actionable insights.
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Process-oriented mindset focused on precision, scalability, and continuous enhancement of accounting workflows.
