Responsibilities:
+ Collaborate with business functions/stakeholders on defining and implementing Master Data Governance principles, process, requirements and implementation roadmap while driving changes when necessary
+ Responsible for establishing, building and operating Master Data Domain Governance with the vision that it becomes part of routine daily work at the edge of the business
+ Accountable for creating standards, best practices, controls and automation modeling techniques and procedures
+ Define and maintain master data standards, data quality rules, controls, and stewardship practices, ensuring they are consistently applied across systems and business processes.
+ Build and lead a team of data stewards, governance specialists and architects ensuring strong operational governance, issue management, and cross‑functional coordination.
+ Champion data accuracy culture adoption to the broader organization by ensuring that Master Data Management assets are understood, available and used
+ Establish and report governance KPIs and data-quality metrics, highlighting improvements, operational impacts, and value delivered through effective master data oversight. Maintain external auditor level controls where applicable.
+ Establish and communicate Master Data Governance best practices including people, processes, and technology enablement models.
+ Drive operational excellence in governance operations, including continuous improvement of processes, stewardship workflows, and technology used to monitor, control, and manage master data
Qualifications:
+ 10 years of Data Management experience; with 7 years of significant governance of Master Data Domain like Products, Customers, Suppliers etc.
+ Experience in building and leading a team including hiring and ongoing people development.
+ Demonstrated ability to establish governance frameworks, stewardship processes, and master data standards from the ground up.
+ Strong knowledge of master data concepts, data quality management, data controls, and enterprise data operating models
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and organizational skills, and ability to effectively manage multiple work streams, along with demonstrated creativity and latitude in problem solving, including the ability to prioritize and execute multiple competing goals
+ Strong presentation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
+ Strong team leadership and/or project management experience with multiple simultaneous initiatives and managing a team of Data Stewards, MDM Architects, Data Analyst etc.
+ Skilled in the management of complex systems and decision-making under uncertainty
+ Excellent project and time management skills and strong attention to detail, with experience in adhering to best practices of managing the life cycle of data-intensive machine learning projects
+ Planning experience that adapts to communication between technical and business stakeholders
+ Exceptional problem-solving and crisis management skills and ability to work independently/within a team
