Direct Support Professional - Keene, NH

Keene, NH area:  Part-time, 10 hours per week

Monadnock Developmental Services is seeking a qualified applicant for a Part Time DSP position in the Keene, NH  area. 10 hours per week during the hours of: Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Direct Support Professional Responsibilities:

• Support individuals in their communities to lead fully included lives; such as:  shopping, money management, physical activities, socializing, safety concerns and redirection
• Support the strengths, gifts and potential of individuals with disabilities
• Aid in the removal of barriers preventing a person with a disability to reach their goals

Direct Support Professional Requirements:

• support individuals out in the community
• guidance with healthy meal choices
• assist with meal preparation
• assist and guidance with household chores
• transportation of individual for errands, appointments and community participant programs
• continued support and development of individual's monthly goals
• maintain accurate records of daily activities, behaviors and progress
• manage and redirect challenging behaviors by using position behavior support
• **Training will be provided in all applicable areas for each program**

Direct Support Professional minimum qualifications include:

• a sound ethical foundation, dedication, creativity, commitment to building a relationship, sense of humor and ability to work in a team environment.

Schedule is flexible, including weekday and/or weekend hours.
