Overview: Our client, a global medical device organization, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a high-impact initiative implementing a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) across worldwide factories. This role involves driving digital transformation, modernizing operations, and enhancing real-time visibility. You’ll collaborate with leaders in engineering, manufacturing, and IT to shape strategy, streamline processes, and deliver a unified MES platform for our global production network.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple large-scale, multi-site digital transformation projects, ensuring integration, rigorous planning/execution, process compliance, and prioritization aligned to strategy.
- Manage project lifecycle scope, schedule, and cost; develop and maintain project plans and budgets.
- Engage stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Quality, and IT to ensure alignment and support for digital initiatives.
- Define project requirements, prepare formal documentation, and oversee project deliverables.
- Coordinate vendors and internal resources, including risk management and issue resolution.
- Establish KPIs and benefits-realization plans; track and report on project performance, benefits, and ROI.
- Create and execute scalable project support plans, resolving or escalating issues as appropriate.
- Deliver clear, informative project communications and presentations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Partner with HR and site leadership to develop training, organizational readiness, and knowledge transfer plans.
- Drive standardization of digital processes, data definitions, and documentation across sites.
- Ensure compliance with internal QMS and applicable regulatory frameworks, including GxP/ISO, through validation, audit readiness, and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 6 years managing large/complex projects with full accountability for deliverables and team performance.
- At least 3 years of successful digital transformation experience in manufacturing or regulated environments (e.g., MES, IIoT/automation, analytics, workflows).
- Proven ability to develop and execute multi-site digital roadmaps, and to manage benefits realization at scale.
- Strong project management skills, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholders management.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences and senior leadership.
- Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
- PMP or similar certification preferred; equivalent competency considerations accepted.
