Digital Retoucher

Our client, a leading lifestyle fashion company based in Linden, NJ, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Digital Retoucher to join their creative team.

This role is responsible for retouching a high volume of lifestyle and product photography for both e-commerce and print, ensuring all visual content meets brand standards for quality, consistency, and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has exceptional technical ability, strong visual instincts, and a refined eye for color, lighting, fabric detail, and composition.

Responsibilities:

• Retouch, color-correct, and finalize lifestyle and product images for e-commerce and print.
• Ensure all imagery meets brand standards for consistency, accuracy, and quality.
• Execute high-end retouching, compositing, and color matching with expert attention to lighting, shadow, and fabric texture.
• Perform color correction using physical product samples for both digital and print environments.
• Utilize non-destructive, multi-layered editing workflows.
• Create accurate clipping paths, masks, actions, and properly organized file structures.
• Work closely with Designers, Product Developers, and Photographers to maintain smooth workflows.
• Partner with Digital Operations to continuously elevate the brand’s visual presentation.
• Communicate effectively across creative and operational teams to ensure deliverables are accurate and on time.
• Composite products seamlessly into lifestyle imagery while maintaining realistic lighting, shadows, perspective, and texture integrity.
• Edit dynamic formats such as time-lapse sequences and animated GIFs for e-commerce and social media (strong plus but not required).

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of professional digital retouching experience, preferably in fashion, e-commerce, or commercial photography.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Bridge.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong understanding of color theory, lighting behavior, fabric detail, and visual continuity.
• Ability to interpret and implement feedback quickly and accurately.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work efficiently across teams.
• Highly organized with excellent time-management skills; able to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Self-sufficient problem solver who takes initiative while remaining receptive to direction.
• Experience with project management tools is a plus.
• Video editing skills (Adobe After Effects or Premiere) are a plus.

A retouching evaluation test will be required.
