Job Description:
The ideal candidate for our Paid Search (SEM) Strategist position is passionate about digital media, specifically search engine marketing. This candidate is a self-starter and always looking to grow professionally, while proactively sharing knowledge with team members. The person fulfilling this position has proven experience managing complex Paid Search campaigns from inception, implementation, and ongoing management to exceed client set goals and KPIs. This role requires someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced agency environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and optimize full-funnel Paid Search programs across Search, Performance Max (PMax), YouTube, App, Shopping, and GDN campaigns based on industry best practices
- Monitor daily budget pacing and proactively recommend budget reallocations across campaigns to maximize performance against client goals and delivery timelines
- Perform market research, competitive analysis, and stay up to date with emerging trends
- Support internal and client presentations by providing performance reporting, insights, and optimization recommendations
- Contribute to further development of internal processes and automation, optimization and testing roadmaps, training, and overall capabilities
- Collaborate effectively across teams and contribute to a "one-team" culture
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in the paid search ecosystem. Solid understanding of Paid YouTube strategies and best practices (preferred)
- Strong understanding of Paid Search automated bidding and campaign automation including how to support performance through strong inputs (bidding strategy, conversion quality, creative, audiences)
- Strong foundation and passion for digital media and advertising landscape. Experience in running tactics outside of search a plus
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex client campaigns and relationships to drive measurable results
- Expertise using Google Ads Editor/Microsoft Ads Editor platforms
- Experience utilizing bid-management platforms (Search Ads 360, Skai) to support and manage campaigns
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) with ability to confidently speak to and present to internal and external stakeholders
- Google Ads / Microsoft Certification Preferred
- Strong analytical and technical aptitude with familiarity with conversion tracking and leveraging analytics platforms such as GA4, Adobe, and PiwikPro
- Familiarity with privacy-forward measurement solutions (e.g., Enhanced Conversions, Offline Conversion imports preferred)
- Ability to think proactively, maintain a high level of productivity, and manage multiple priorities. Desire to work within a collaborative team setting across departments while also able to work independently
Our office is located in Newtown, Connecticut. Local candidates are encouraged to use our updated office space in Sandy Hook, CT which allows you to take part in our office culture and team bonding that naturally occurs in office. In addition, if you need to take a break from work, there is a beautiful waterfall and serene stream just outside our front door. Local Connecticut or NYC Metro area candidates preferred. Our team working remotely is invited to the office at a minimum of two times per year for our Summer Party and again for the Holiday Party. Other team or client meetings may be scheduled at other times during the year.
