General Summary:

This position plays a key role in establishing and optimizing the processes, tools, and resources involved with the provisioning of product content for digital engagement and commerce. The Digital Product Catalog Manager will lead the daily operations of the Digital Product Catalog item setup and maintenance of the Product Information Management platform (PIM) for Dollar General and pOpshelf through the management of the Digital Product Catalog team. In addition, this manager will own and drive continuous process improvement, ensure timely setup of products to align with in-store sets, by building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Details:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coach the pOpshelf (35K+ SKUs) and Dollar General (36K+ SKUs) internal product catalog teams maintaining product and category data across multiple platforms
  • Provide oversite of third-party partners for vendor outreach, attribution, and photography
  • Develop strong relationships with internal merchandise vendors and external product vendors to ensure accurate, timely, and quality product data on our sites
  • Own & drive continuous improvement in product data collection, maintenance, and optimization, as well as production processes and workflows, including the tools and resources used
  • Perform routine site audits on websites and apps, checking for quality and accuracy of product information
  • Act as team leader and main resource for internal & external third-party partnerships for PIM, DAM, AI tool, site search, product reviews, and more
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for best-in-class experiences on our sites: PDPs, ratings & reviews, sorting & filtering, site search, etc
  • Track and report on Product Catalog KPI’s
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

§  Demonstrated experience in digital product information to display and sell products on digital platforms.

§  Experience with team management and managing cross-functionally, with the ability to adapt personal style to different environments.

§  A self-starter who is highly organized, has excellent attention to detail and follow-through, and can handle multiple projects simultaneously.

§  Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

§  Ability to learn new software and technology tools quickly.

§  Excellent time/project management skills.

§  Ability to continuously be solutions based, always thinking ahead and anticipating issues or managing them if/when they arise.

§  High degree of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Excel.

§  Experience with reporting on deliverables.

§  Ability to work well with a team, including collaboration in a predominately virtual setting.

 

Work Experience and/or Education:

  • 4-6 years of experience with 3+ years of experience in team management and 5+ years of experience in digital product information or merchandising
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with a PIM tool (ex: Salsify, inRiver, Syndigo, etc.) is preferred
  • Experience with Adobe AEM a plus.
