Digital Manufacturing Engineer

Our client is looking for a Digital Manufacturing Engineer to join their Advanced Manufacturing team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on building and integrating digital solutions on the shop floor. You'll develop apps, connect enterprise systems, and create analytics that help manufacturing sites operate smarter — all while leading projects and mentoring others.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and maintain shop floor applications with a focus on MES platforms
• Integrate manufacturing systems with enterprise solutions (SAP, CMMS, etc.)
• Design and maintain dashboards and analytics in Power BI and Tulip Analytics
• Support end-of-line test cell enhancements
• Evaluate new solutions and support lab/proof of concept testing
• Manage assigned project schedules and budgets
• Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions with operations teams
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours application support

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Industrial Technology
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience supporting operations technology
• Experience with MES platforms (Tulip, Proficy, FactoryLogix, Rockwell, Siemens, or similar)
• SQL proficiency — queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
• OT programming experience: Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar
• Experience with OPC/MQTT standards and REST API integration
• Experience with cloud-based analytics and reporting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with SCADA, PLCs, data historians, CMMS, or computer vision
• OPC server and data tag experience
• Proven track record leading technical projects from requirements through deployment
• Experience integrating OT and enterprise systems
