About the Opportunity

Join and contribute to next-generation defense technologies supporting national security and advanced communications systems.

This is an onsite opportunity in San Diego, CA, focused on digital circuit card design and FPGA-based systems for software-defined radio applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test digital circuit card assemblies

• Support software-defined radio (SDR) applications

• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Hardware, Digital Engineering, and Integration & Test teams

• Analyze system requirements, timing, and performance issues

• Define PCB stack-up, layout, routing, and thermal design specifications

• Support FPGA System-on-Chip (SoC) based digital designs

• Conduct board-level debug and testing using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers

• Participate in internal design reviews
  
  

  Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field

  • 5+ years of digital hardware design experience (3+ with Master’s degree)

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (Required on Day 1)

  • Experience with FPGA-based digital circuit card development

  • Hands-on experience with Siemens Xpedition (EDA tool)

  • Strong understanding of formal engineering development processes

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional engineering experience

• Experience with AMD/Xilinx RFSoC platforms

• Analog/RF and Digital design & test experience

• Communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, Ethernet

• PCB design, component selection, and supply chain coordination

• Worst-case digital signal analysis

• Board-level debugging experience

• DoD communications systems experience
