Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic A to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment at our facility shop in Niles, IL.
Shift: Full-Time l Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:30PM
Pay: $31.00-$37.00/HR
**Additional CDL Incentive Pay ($1.00 with active CDL A or B license)**
Pay is based on experience/qualifications

Position Responsibilities:
- The Fleet Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and overhaul of fleet diesel equipment, as well as the diagnostics and rebuilding of clutches and brake systems
- As a Fleet Technician, you will complete thorough documentation for work orders related to repairs and preventative maintenance using the online AssetWorks system
- You will operate a company vehicle to diagnose and repair equipment as part of roadside service calls
- You will ensure that equipment has the required licensing and registration before being deemed "roadworthy"
- You will install, replace, and repair onboard computers (XRS or XataNet) and/or cameras (DriveCam)
- You will work in accordance with company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations to ensure safety
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 to 4 years of related experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds
- Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Technical School Certification
